Who We Are
The Sharon Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2012. The seven-member volunteer Board of Directors have backgrounds in non‐profit organizations, education, law, finance, and health care. The work of the foundation is coordinated with the Sharon Social Service Agent. The Board of Directors and the Social Service Agent are all residents of Sharon.
What We Do
The Sharon Community Foundation provides confidential, short-term, emergency financial assistance to help Sharon residents meet their essential living needs. We also donate to other organizations that serve Sharon residents.
Grants have been awarded for: food; heating and electrical bills; rent and mortgage payments; minor automotive and housing repairs; summer internships; local youth programs; tuition assistance; medical expenses; and educational programs that foster independence and a better quality of life.
The Sharon Community Foundation also supports other charitable organizations within the community that provide services to the residents of Sharon.
